Divisional Union's letter to SPOs on shortage of Passbooks

PIII/Gnl/2012                                                             26-11-2012
            To

The Superintendent of Posts,
Ottapalam Division,
Ottapalam-679101

Sub:- Shortage of Pass books-reg

           Sir,

It is reported from several corners of our Division that sufficient SB Pass Books are not available in Sub Offices to open New Accounts as part of the SB opening campaign conducting in our Division. On enquiry, it is noticed that sufficient stock of PBs is also not available at HO for supply to SOs. Similarly, SB-26 receipts for the use of BOs are also not available sufficiently at SOs due to poor Stock in our Division. It is therefore, requested that necessary action may please be taken urgently to ensure sufficient stock of SB Passbooks, SB-26, SB-28 Receipts, SB-3 Cards and SB 103 forms in all offices, to fulfill the target.

            2. The trend in opening SB Accounts is encouraging in our Division. The NFPE Unions are also taking keen interest to motivate staff to open more accounts during this season. As such, during peak season, some additional manpower or remuneration may be provided to needy offices when requested by the SPMs, as the staff is already overloaded due to pressure of work and shortage of staff. As the local body authorities are pressing the beneficiaries to submit the account details before this month, there is heavy rush prevailing in almost all offices to open new accounts.

Immediate necessary action in the matter is requested.
                                                                                                             Yours faithfully

                                                                                                       (Abdul Rahiman T.P)
