Govt not raising retirement age of its employees

The government today said there is no proposal to raise the retirement age of its employees from 60 years at present.
"At present there is no proposal to increase the age of retirement of Government servants," Minister of State for Finance Namo Narain Meena said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha

He said this in reply to a query on whether the government was considering increasing the retirement age of all central government employees by two years to 62 years, from the current 60.

Expected DA (Dearness Allowance) from July 2011 for Central Government Employees and Pensioners

We feel features, expectations and calculations are on the forefront for most of the central government employees regarding the additional Dearness Allowance from July, 2011 to be announced soon.
Thee will be no change in the 7% DA unless a huge change takes place in the month of June AICPIN (i.e.if the AICPIN falls below 180 points or increase above 195, a change of DA can take place, but chances are very remote.) AICPIN now stands at 187.

SMALL SAVINGS ACCOUNTS IN POST OFFICES

The number of operational small savings accounts in the Department of Post as on 30/6/2011 are 264585266 and the amount deposited therein by the common man as on June 2011 is 3728154388 (Rs in thousands)

The number of accounts closed by customers during the last one year is 40950379.

The collections under all small savings schemes are credited to National Small Savings Fund (NSSF) and the opening balance as per Budget Estimates 2011-12 is Rs. 7,99,386.51 crore.
