REMEMBER COMRADE ADI
COMRADE ADI DAY - 17.06.2010
Comrade Adinarayana was our former Secretary General of NFPE from 1992 to 2001 and General Secretary of all India Postal Employees Union Postmen and Group 'D' since 1967. Comrades will recall to memory that it was under the great leadership of Comrade Adi that four glorious indefinite strikes in the year 1993 [4 days], 1996 [7 days], 1998 [8 days] and 2000 [14 days] were conducted by the Postal Employees. Justice Talwar Committee for GDS was the product of that struggle in 1993. Entitlement of PLB Bonus payment without any ceiling limit for all Non-Gazetted Employees was the product of that strike in 1998. A longest record for 14 days continuous strike by Postal Employees in independent India was made in 2000 Strike. It was Comrade Adi who was instrumental in getting the LDC Pay scales for Postmen after 5th CPC, which has now further elevated by 6th CPC. Comrade Adinarayana was also a towering leader of the CG Employees Movement. His departure on 17.06.2003 had caused a great void in our movement which is still unfilled. Let us dip our banner in memory and respect of our beloved leader Comrade K.Adinarayana.
Comrade Adi Amar Rahe! Red Salutes to Comrade Adi!!
