The following items may be discussed in the next monthly meeting to be held on 28-10-2014.

II.                New Items.

            43/10-14: Provision of basic facilities before introducing CBS at Ottapalam HO -reg

    It is known that Ottapalam HO is identified for introducing CBS. Before that the basic amenities like UPS with good working condition, uninterrupted broad band connection, proper net working and new Systems to Counters/Supervisor may be provided for effective function.

 44/10-14: Payment of compensation to staff attending NIOS parcel works-reg

             The staff utilized for booking NIOS parcels and the staff engaged for transporting the parcels from booking point to RMS may be paid sufficient compensation / suitable off early. A copy of the MOU signed in connection with the booking of parcels may be provided to the Union.

45/10-14: Payment of SB/ SPMs allowance at Trikkateri SO-reg

            The pending claims may be cleared early as the bills are pending at Divisional office for long.

        46/ 10-14: Preparation of fresh MDW In A&B SOs in the Computerised set up-reg

            Most of the MDW in A and B Class Offices are very old and implemented before computerization. Such MDW may be revised incorporating all new works through Systems by equally distributing among sanctioned staff strength.

              47/10-14: Linking of Pos to Nationalised Banks-reg           

 In many places nationalized Banks are available. Hence early action may be taken to attach more Pos with Banks so that financing of Pos can be effectively managed and to curtail cash conveyance expenses also.

         48/10-14: Supply of scanner to Anakkara SO-reg

          Immediate action may please be taken to supply one barcode scanner to Anakkara SO  for the smooth functioning of the PO. Now a day, much difficulties are experiencing in dealing with RLs/Speed Post/eMOs.

         49/10-14: Repairs to Counters at Mele Pattambi

The present counter of the SO is damaged due to rusting. Immediate action may be taken to repair/ replace the same.

50/10-14: Supply one UPS to Perimbadari SO-reg

The available UPS are not working. Since lack of back up works are held up. Immediate action to repair the UPS or to supply a new one may be taken.

Confederation News

CONFEDERATION ALL INDIA TRADE UNION WORKSHOP AT BANGALORE ON 5TH & 6TH JANUARY 2015

Two days All India Trade Union Workshop of Confederation of Central Government Employees & Workers will be held at Bangalore on 5^th & 6^th January 2015. COC Karnataka will host the workshop. Total number of delegates will be 200. Affiliated organization-wise delegate quota will be published shortly. Delegate Fee is fixed as Rs. 600 (Rupees Six hundred only) per delegate. Meeting of the COC held at Bangalore was attended by Confederation CHQ leaders Coms: S. K. Vyas, K. K. N. Kutty, M. Krishnan, M. S. Raja, Vrigu Bhattacharjee, Giriraj Singh, R. N. Parashar, P. Suresh, R. Seethalakshmi etc. Detailed circular will follow.

JCM Meeting

JCM STAFF SIDE NATIONAL CONVENTION ON 11TH DECEMBER 2014 AT NEW DELHI. WILL DECLARE JOINT PROGRAME OF ACTION ON CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES COMMON DEMANDS

JCM Staff Side leadership has decided to organize a National Convention of all Central Government Employees (Railway, Defence & Confederation) on 11^th December 2014 at New Delhi from 12 PM to 4 PM. Convention will adopt a joint resolution on the common demands of the Central Government Employees viz; Merger of DA, Interim Relief, Inlcusion of GDS under 7^th CPC, Scrap New Pension Scheme etc and will declare joint programs of action. Further details regarding number of delegates to be participated from each affiliated Organisation & State C-O-Cs of Confederation will be published shortly.

MEMMORANDUM

           No. PIII/PIV/GDS/PTC/Gnl/ 2014                                                         Dated  23-10-2014

We wish to bring the following Divisional issues to the notice of the Supdt. Of POs, Ottapalam Division , Ottapalam through this memorandum for kind perusal and immediate necessary remedial action.

I.                   Computer Related issues:

a)      Immediate replacement / repair of  the damaged Computer Systems /Servers of all Post Offices, Divisional Office especially in Ottapalam HO, where CBS is going to be introduced.

b)      Repair of UPS/ Replacement of all damaged batteries of all Offices

c)      Providing of all basic amenities in Pos before introducing new schemes

d)      Stop fixing of responsibility on staff due to the errors in Computer Systems and harassing them for not fault of them.

II.                 Staff matters:

a)      Fill up  all posts of PAs kept vacant for long. Otherwise permit to engage outsiders in such vacancies

b)      Fill up MTS back log vacancies of 2006 and 2013 where incumbents not joined in the posts

c)      Difficulties in booking of NIOS parcels:  Effect payment of compensation / off for such activities and avoid bringing staff during night hours, especially lady staff.

d)      Stop harassing staff on delivery of articles in the name of project arrow

e)      Provide regular appointment to eligible GDS Staff with effect from the original dates of their provisional appointment.

f)       Ensure engagement of senior GDS staff in vacant and long leave arrangements of MTS/ Postmen vacancies.

g)      Protect allowance of GDS BPMs and other GDS whose allowances are reduced during reviews.

h)      Grant all eligible transfers to Postmen/MTS who applied for transfers within Division.

i)        Provide regular appointment to eligible Part Time staff as per the latest orders of the Department on the basis of Court verdict.

III.              Building Matters:

a)      Renewal of lease period to all rented buildings where lease is expired and immediate repairs of needy offices eg. Alanallur, Anakkara, Vaniamkulam, Kanniampuram etc.

b)      Construction of a new Canteen building at Ottapalam HO

IV.              General:

a)      Ensure supply of sufficient quantity of Postage stamps to public

b)      Stop partisan attitude of the Divisional administration in various disciplinary and other cases and postings without considering seriousness/ merits

We urge the Divisional Administration to take urgent and earnest steps to solve the above issues, without wastage of time. Otherwise the Unions will be compelled to resolve Trade Union action as deemed fit.

Dear friend,

First of all, on behalf of the mighty National Federation of Postal Employees (NFPE) I congratulate you on your selection as Postal Assistant in Ottapalam Postal Division. Secondly, we wish to inform you the following:

1)      Your confirmation of Selection as Postal Assistant in Ottapalam Division, will reach you soon.

2)      As per the present schedule, verification of your Original Certificates is to be completed before 5^th of Nov. 2014. For this purpose all your original certificates including SSLC and Plus Two certificates are required. For OBC and SC Candidates, Cast/Creamy layer certificates in original to be produced.

3)      The exact date of verification oy certificates will be intimated to you by SMS.

4)      At the time of certificate verification, other required forms will be supplied to you which can be returned duly completed as early as possible.

5)      First batch of Training for a period of 8 weeks at Postal Training Centre (PTC), Mysore-10 will start from 10^th Nov. 14. Food and Stay will be arranged by the Department in the campus. Pay and allowances will be paid to you during the training period.

6)      For your stay at Ottapalam during Certificate verification will be arranged by us if required, and we will provide a help desk near Head Post Office, Ottapalam for which you may inform the under signed in advance.
